EqualiTeach Covid-19 Response
(Updated August 2020)
In response to the Government and Public Health England guidance, EqualiTeach halted all face to face delivery in schools and organisations on 17th March 2020.
Our priority at all times is the health, safety and wellbeing of our team and those we work with. We are continuing to support our staff team during this challenging time.
We have been working hard to develop and roll out effective online delivery as an alternative to face to face sessions, and have produced a robust risk assessment to allow us to begin to resume our workshops and training in schools and organisations from September 2020.
How can we help?
We know that schools and organisations are adapting quickly to new ways of working, teaching and learning.
At EqualiTeach, we have a number of services available.
Live Online Equality Training
EqualiTeach is pleased to offer staff training as a flexible interactive online package via Zoom.
As with the face-to-face training, training sessions will feature activities, small breakout conversations and question and answer sessions. All participants will be provided with handouts to download.
Our expert facilitators can deliver training sessions for up to 25 members of staff at a time. For schools or organisations with larger cohorts, we can run parallel or staggered training sessions to reach all members of staff. Staggered, or smaller training sessions can also be offered for those who are unable to get all members of staff online at the same time.
We’ll work with you to put together a bespoke package: get in touch to find out more and discuss how we can best support your staff. For those who would prefer to book face to face training, you can find our full Coronavirus Risk Assessment here.
We have launched an e-learning platform, with courses for educators and for parents and carers. We want as many people as possible to benefit from this service, and so our course for parents and carers entitled ‘Helping Children to Think Critically About Fake News and Prejudice’ can be accessed free of charge. Visit our e-learning platform to find out more and enrol.
Workshops for Young People
Delivery of our workshops for young people has been on hold for the Summer term, but we are taking bookings for the Autumn term and beyond. We are working with schools on an individual basis to organise workshops at a time and format that is suitable. You can find out more about the workshops we have on offer on our website. We have remote delivery options available, and for those who book face to face delivery, you can find our full Coronavirus Risk Assessment here.
Equalities Award by EqualiTeach
The Equalities Award is an online auditing tool and accreditation scheme which provides support and guidance for schools to effectively promote equality, diversity and inclusion and allows schools to showcase their commitment to equality.
There are Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards, allowing schools to work at an achievable level and build upon a commitment to equality over time.
Schools have eighteen months to complete the audit to achieve their Award and can begin working towards their Award remotely with online support from our team.

Resources for Educators
We have a selection of resources for educators to promote equality, celebrate diversity and tackle discrimination, which are free to download on our website.
Resources cover topics such as values education, gender equality, Islamophobia and LGBT+ equality, and include guidance, information and lesson plans for a range of different age groups.
We are recording video tutorials to highlight some of the activities from our resources- head to our YouTube channel and subscribe!
To discuss how we can support you during this time, or to organise any of the above options, please get in touch.
