EqualiTeach is delighted to announce our upcoming Awards Ceremony, celebrating the achievements of the young people taking part in our Agents for Change: Islamophobia project.

The event will take place on 1st May 2018 from 5.30-7.30pm at Rich Mix, Bethnal Green Road, London, E1 6LA

Young people from 7 schools across Tower Hamlets have been working together to create films raising awareness of Islamophobia; have worked in their schools to improve the systems of reporting and the support given to targets of Islamophobic bullying; and have supported EqualiTeach in the development of our brand new educational resource ‘Faith in Us.’

‘Faith in Us’ is an extensive resource, supporting teachers to educate young people about Islamophobia. It includes background information, techniques and advice for managing difficult conversations, and a host of practical classroom activities and lesson plans. The resource, once launched at the awards ceremony, will be completely free for teachers to download from our website.

We are immensely proud of what this project has achieved, and this ceremony will highlight and celebrate the incredible input of the young Agents for Change.

The event will take place on 1st May 2018 from 5.30-7.30pm at Rich Mix, Bethnal Green Road, London, E1 6LA

If you’d like to attend, or would like more information please get in touch.
