National Museums Liverpool

EqualiTeach have worked in close partnership with National Museums Liverpool (NML) to develop bespoke training for all staff members on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, exploring the barriers to promoting equality and tackling discrimination, legal duties under the Equality Act 2010, how to embed good practice, and how to respond when things go wrong.

We worked with staff members and volunteers from across all eight of their museum sites, providing opportunities for participants to interact across teams, and share their feedback for improvement.

It was fantastic to work with an organisation so committed to embedding equality and creating positive change. You can read the project evaluation here.

If you took part in this training and have any feedback or enquiries, or if you would like to find out how we could develop a bespoke programme such as this for your organisation please feel free to get in touch:

“It was powerful to have focussed time to be able to think about what equality, diversity and inclusion is and means within NML and to work with colleagues from across the organisation to hear about what is happening at other venues and what issues have arisen. The way the training was delivered, through mini-workshops and by enthusiastic facilitators increased our knowledge and helped us recognise lots of practical changes we can put in place.”
